Defect
The contact arrangement of the intermittent-operation relay installed in the wiper switch is incorrect. Under frequent intermittent wiper use, the relay contacts may wear and fall out, causing a short circuit. This results in wiper malfunction and, in the worst case, the relay may emit smoke and catch fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the wiper switch with a corrected/revised part.

状況
