Defect
Microscopic foreign material embedded in the valve spring material during production reduces spring strength, which may cause the spring to fracture. A fractured valve spring produces abnormal noise and causes engine malfunction. In the worst case, the engine may stall while the vehicle is in motion.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected valve springs with the corrected parts.

状況
原動機の動弁機構部において、バルブスプリングの材料中に微小異物があるとスプリングの強度が低下して折損することがある。そのため、異音が発生してエンジン不調となり、最悪の場合、走行中にエンジンが停止するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該バルブスプリングを対策品に交換する。
