Defect
The plastic cover on the side of the front seat is made of incorrect material, resulting in insufficient strength. In a frontal collision, the seat belt may forcefully contact the cover and crack it. In the worst case, the fractured edge of the cover severs the seat belt, preventing occupant restraint.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the plastic cover is replaced with a conforming part.

状況
前席の座席において、シート側面の樹脂カバーの材質が不適切なため、当該カバーの強度が不足しているものがある。そのため、事故等前面衝突の衝撃により座席ベルトが当該カバーに強く干渉すると、カバーが破損することがあり、最悪の場合、破断面によって座席ベルトが切れ、乗員を拘束できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該樹脂カバーを良品と交換する。
