Defect
On light-duty cargo vehicles converted from a 2 (5)-occupant specification to a 5-occupant specification, the second-row outboard seat positions were fitted with Type 1 seat belts (2-point) instead of the required Type 2 seat belts (3-point). This configuration does not comply with Safety Standards.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected seat belts with Type 2 seat belts (3-point).
