Defect
In the rear wheel service brake wheel cylinder, improper machining of the piston results in an undersized outer diameter on some units. The enlarged clearance between the cylinder bore and the piston allows the seal to be pinched into the gap during brake application, damaging the seal. In the worst case, brake fluid leaks and braking force is reduced.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the wheel cylinder serial number. On affected units, replace the wheel cylinder with a conforming part.

状況
後輪用主ブレーキのホイールシリンダにおいて、ピストンの加工が不適切なため、外径が小さく加工されたものがある。そのため、シリンダとピストンの隙間が広くなっており、ブレーキを操作すると、シールを隙間に噛み込んで損傷させることがあり、最悪の場合、ブレーキ液が漏れ、制動力が低下するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ホイールシリンダの製造番号を確認し、該当するものは、ホイールシリンダを良品と交換する。
