Defect
The material and dimensions of the valve inside the ASR (Anti-Spin Regulator) valve — fitted to prevent drive-wheel spin — are incorrect. Air pressure acting on the back of the valve causes age-related deterioration and deformation under high-temperature conditions, which can block the exhaust port. Residual pressure then builds up in the brake lines, keeping the brakes continuously applied and causing the brake drums to overheat. In the worst case, this may result in a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, confirm whether an ASR valve is installed. If present, replace the valve with the corrected part and replace the line connector with a new one. Additionally, add a notation to the maintenance booklet indicating that the ASR valve is a periodic replacement part required every 10 years.

状況
駆動輪の空転を防止するために装着されているASR(アンチスピンレギュレータ)バルブ内部の弁の材質および寸法が不適切なため、当該弁の背面にかかるエア圧による経年劣化および高温環境下での変形により、排気ポートを塞ぐものがある。 そのため、ブレーキ配管内に圧力が残留し、常にブレーキが作動した状態となってブレーキドラムが過熱して、最悪の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ASRバルブが装着されているかを確認し、装着されていた場合は当該バルブを対策品と交換すると共に配管コネクタを新品と交換する。また、ASRバルブが10年毎の定期交換部品になった旨を、メンテナンスノートに追記する。
