Defect
An improper manufacturing process was used to seal the fuel pump relay case, causing sealant to adhere to and bond with internal wiring. Continued use allows thermal cycling inside the relay to cause a broken wire in the internal wiring, stopping the fuel pump and stalling the engine. Once stalled, the vehicle may not restart.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the fuel pump relay stampings and replace any identified units with conforming parts.

状況
フューエルポンプリレーケースのシール部の製造方法が不適切なため、シール剤が配線に付着し、固着したものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、リレー内の熱変化により内部配線が断線、燃料ポンプが停止し、エンジンが止まり、再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、フューエルポンプリレーの刻印を点検し、該当するものは良品と交換する。
