Filing in context
The Airbag is the most frequently cited component category in this archive, appearing in 225 of its 4,890 filings. This filing is one of 21 Honda notifications from 2018 in this archive. Defect
In the passenger-side airbag inflator, repeated cycles of ambient temperature and humidity variation may cause the propellant to degrade. As a result, internal inflator pressure may rise abnormally during airbag deployment, and the inflator housing may rupture.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the passenger-side airbag inflator is replaced with a corrected part.
