Defect

1. On vehicles equipped with a manual transmission, the plastic bush structure at the joint between the gear shift control joint and the arm is improperly designed, causing insufficient torque to be applied to the retaining nut on some units. Continued use may cause the nut to fall off, and in the worst case, the shaft may disengage from the shift lever, making shifting impossible. 2. On vehicles equipped with a manual transmission, the gear shift control joint retaining nut has not been tightened on some units. Continued use may cause the nut to fall off, and in the worst case, the shaft may disengage from the shift lever, making shifting impossible.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, verify that the torque completion marking is present on the retaining nut. If the marking is absent, apply a thread-locking compound to the nut and tighten it to the specified torque.

状況

1.手動変速機付車において、ギヤシフトコントロールジョイントとアーム結合部の樹脂製ブッシュの構造が不適切なため、固定ナットの締付トルクが不足しているものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、当該ナットが脱落し、最悪の場合、シャフトがシフトレバーから外れ、シフトができなくなるおそれがある。 2.手動変速機付車において、ギヤシフトコントロールジョイントの固定ナットが締め付けられていないものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、当該ナットが脱落し、最悪の場合、シャフトがシフトレバーから外れ、シフトができなくなるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、当該ナット締付作業完了のマーキングを確認し、マーキングがない場合には、当該ナットにゆるみ防止剤を塗布し、規定トルクで締め付ける。
