Defect

The red lens used for the combined tail lamp and brake lamp in the rear combination lamp assembly has insufficient weather resistance. Prolonged exposure to intense sunlight gradually causes the red color of the lens to fade. If fading progresses, the color of the lamp no longer conforms to the Safety Standards.

Corrective action

Notify all owners of the lens fading phenomenon. If the red lens of the combined tail lamp and brake lamp has faded and appears white, replace the rear combination lamp assembly with the corrected part.

状況

リヤコンビネーションランプの尾灯と制動灯兼用の赤色レンズにおいて、耐候性が不十分なため、長期間にわたり強い日射にさらされると徐々にレンズの赤色が褪色し、当該灯火の灯光の色が保安基準に適合しなくなるおそれがある。

改善措置

全使用者へ当該レンズの褪色現象について周知し、尾灯と制動灯兼用の赤色レンズの色が薄くなり、白く見える場合には、リヤコンビネーションランプを対策品と交換する。
