Defect
The rear axle shaft has insufficient strength on some vehicles. Repeated high stress loads during acceleration and braking may cause a crack to develop in the shaft. Continued use allows the crack to propagate. In the worst case, the axle shaft may fracture, leaving the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
Inspect all vehicles. On any vehicle where the axle shaft has insufficient strength, replace it with a corrected part.

状況
後車軸のアクスルシャフトの強度が不足しているものがあるため、発進・制動時の高い応力が繰り返しかかると、亀裂が生じるものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、亀裂が進行し、最悪の場合、アクスルシャフトが折損し、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両点検し、強度が不足しているものは対策品に交換する。
