Defect
On route buses fitted with a headlight auto-off reminder device, an improperly designed electrical circuit allows excessive current to flow through the headlight switch, causing wear on the switch contacts. Continued use in this condition may cause the contacts to fracture, resulting in loss of headlight operation.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, modify the headlight switch electrical circuit, add a relay, and replace the headlight switch with a new unit.

状況
前照灯消し忘れ防止装置を取付けた路線バスにおいて、当該装置の電気回路が不適切なため、前照灯スイッチに想定以上の電流が流れることにより、当該スイッチの接点が摩耗し、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該スイッチの接点が折損し、前照灯が点灯しなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、前照灯スイッチの電気回路を変更し、リレーを追加するとともに、前照灯スイッチを新品に交換する。
