Defect
On refuse collection trucks, an inadequate body layout design leaves insufficient clearance between the cargo box dump cylinder and the differential gear case. At maximum rear axle rebound travel, the gear case contacts the dump cylinder, damaging the gear case and causing lubricant to leak. In the worst case, gear seizure may render the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the cargo box dump cylinder with a corrected part. Additionally, inspect the differential gear case. If the gear case is deformed, replace it with a new part. If the gear case is damaged, replace the complete differential assembly with a new unit.

状況
塵芥車の架装レイアウト設計が不適切なため、荷箱ダンプシリンダとデファレンシャルギヤケースの間隙が不足しているものがある。そのため、リヤアクスルの最大跳ね上がり時にギヤケースがダンプシリンダに接触し、ギヤケースが損傷して潤滑油が漏れ、最悪の場合、ギヤが焼き付いて走行不能になるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、荷箱ダンプシリンダを対策品に交換する。また、デファレンシャルギヤケースを点検し、ギヤケースが変形している場合は当該ギヤケースを新品に交換する。ギヤケースが破損している場合は、デファレンシャル一式を新品に交換する。
