Defect
On the front brake disc rotors, the groove designed to prevent thermal deformation at the rotor hat section is improperly shaped. Repeated thermal stress generated during heavy brake use on downhill grades and similar conditions may cause cracks to develop in the disc rotor. Continued use allows the cracks to propagate and, in the worst case, the disc rotor may fracture, extending stopping distance.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected disc rotor with the corrected part.

状況
前輪ブレーキのディスクロータにおいて、つけ根部分に設けた熱変形を防止するための溝の形状が不適切なため、下り坂等でブレーキを多用した際に発生する熱応力の繰り返しによりディスクロータに亀裂が発生するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると亀裂が進行し、最悪の場合、ディスクロータが破断し、制動距離が長くなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ディスクロータを対策品と交換する。
