Issue
The spool valve that controls internal pressure in the hydraulic power steering pump—preventing pressure from exceeding the specified value—has insufficient clearance on some units. If foreign matter enters the power steering fluid, the spool valve may lock. When locked, internal pressure rises and damages the pump internally, causing it to lose pressure output and increasing the steering effort required to operate the wheel.
Corrective action
Replace the power steering pump on all vehicles with a corrected part.

状況
かじ取り装置において、パワーステアリング用油圧ポンプの内部圧力を規定値以上にならないように制御しているスプールバルブのクリアランスに狭いものがあるため、パワーステアリングオイルに異物が混入している場合、当該バルブがロックすることがある。そのため、内部圧力が上昇し、当該ポンプ内部が損傷して圧力が発生しなくなり、ハンドルの操作力が増大するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ポンプを対策品と交換する。
