Defect
During engine assembly, the crankshaft thrust bearing was installed in the wrong orientation on some units. This reduces the bearing's sliding performance and causes accelerated wear. Continued use produces abnormal noise and, in the worst case, may cause the bearing to seize, leaving the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the engine with a conforming unit in which the thrust bearing is correctly installed.

状況
原動機の組立て工程において、クランクシャフトのスラスト軸受けの組付け方向を誤ったものがあるため、当該軸受け部の摺動性が低下し、摩耗するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、異音が発生し、最悪の場合、当該軸受け部が焼付き、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エンジンをスラスト軸受けが正しく組付けられた良品と交換する。
