Defect
On compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles, the routing of the electrical wiring to the engine control unit is improper, allowing heat from the exhaust pipe to cause the insulation to peel away. In the worst case, a short circuit between wires may cause the engine to stop and prevent restart.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, apply insulating coverage to the affected wiring and replace the band clip with the corrected part. Where the affected wiring is already damaged, replace it with the corrected part. As a precautionary measure, also apply insulating coverage to the CNG pressure-reducing relief valve hose located near the exhaust pipe.

状況
②圧縮天然ガス車(CNG車)において、原動機のコントロールユニットの電気配線の取り回しが不適切なため、排気管からの熱により被覆が剥がれるものがある。そのため、最悪の場合、配線間で短絡して、原動機が停止し、再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
②全車両、当該電気配線に断熱用被覆を追加するとともに、バンドクリップを対策品と交換する。また、当該電気配線に損傷があるものは、電気配線を対策品と交換する。なお、排気管の周辺にあるCNG減圧弁リリーフバルブホースについても、予防措置として合わせて断熱用被覆を追加する。
