Defect
On compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles, the electrical wiring to the starter has insufficient heat resistance. Heat from the exhaust pipe causes the insulation to peel away, exposing the cable. In the worst case, a short circuit in the wiring may cause the engine to stop and prevent restart.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, install a heat shield on the exhaust pipe and replace the battery cable terminal cap with the corrected part. In addition, apply insulating coverage to the affected wiring. On vehicles where adding insulating coverage is not feasible, replace the wiring with the corrected part. Where the affected wiring is already damaged, replace it with the corrected part.

状況
①圧縮天然ガス車（ＣＮＧ車）において、スタータへの電気配線の耐熱性が不十分なため、排気管からの熱により被覆が剥がれてケーブルが露出するものがある。そのため、最悪の場合、電気配線が短絡して、原動機が停止し、再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
①全車両、排気管に遮熱板を取り付け、バッテリケーブル端子キャップを対策品に交換する。また、当該電気配線に断熱用被覆を追加する（被覆追加作業が困難な車両は、電気配線を対策品と交換する。）。なお、当該電気配線に損傷があるものは、電気配線を対策品と交換する。
