Defect

The quick-connect joint on the fuel tank breather hose is insufficiently engaged, leaving the O-ring seal not properly seated against the joint pipe. This compromises the sealing integrity of the joint and may allow fuel to leak from the connection when the tank is full.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, inspect the quick-connect joint on the breather hose; on any joint found to be insufficiently engaged, reseat the connection to the fully engaged position.

状況

燃料タンクのブリーザホース継ぎ手部(クイックジョイント)の嵌合が不十分なため、クイックジョイントのシール(オーリング)がジョイントパイプと密着していないものがある。そのため、ジョイント嵌合部のシール性が損なわれて燃料満タン時にジョイント嵌合部から燃料が漏れるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、ブリーザホースのクイックジョイント嵌合部を点検し、嵌合が不十分なものは正規嵌合状態にする。
