Defect
Improper press-forming of the fuel tank causes waviness to develop in the steel sheet on the tank surface. Engine vibration and other forces may cause the steel sheet to resonate. Continued use allows cracks to form at the waviness in the steel sheet, and fuel may leak.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the fuel tank and replace any unit exhibiting waviness in the surface steel sheet with a non-defective part.

状況
燃料タンクのプレス成形が不適切なため、当該タンクの表面の鉄板にうねりが生じている ものがあり、原動機の振動等により当該鉄板が共振を起こすことがある。そのため、その まま使用を続けると、当該鉄板のうねり部に亀裂が生じて、燃料が漏れるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、燃料タンクを点検し、表面の鉄板にうねりのあるものは良品と交換する。
