Issue
The hardening treatment applied to the tip surfaces of the vanes in the hydraulic power steering pump is inadequate. Vane wear generates metallic debris that may clog the pump interior and oil tank. Continued use reduces oil flow output from the pump and may increase steering effort.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the power steering pump serial number. On affected vehicles, replace the power steering pump with a conforming part and replace the steering gear box assembly, feed hose, and oil tank with new parts.

状況
油圧式パワーステアリングポンプのベーン（羽根）先端部表面の硬化処理が不適切なため、ベーンが摩耗して摩耗粉が当該ポンプ内やオイルタンク内に詰まる場合がある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、ポンプからのオイル吐出流量が減少してハンドルの操作力が増大するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、パワーステアリングポンプのシリアル番号を確認し、対象となるものはパワーステアリングポンプを良品と交換すると共に、パワーステアリングギヤボックス一式、フィードホース及びオイルタンクを新品と交換する。
