Defect
The retention structure for the front fog lamp socket holder is improperly designed. Repeated thermal expansion and contraction caused by switching the bulb on and off loosens the socket holder, allowing it to fall out of the lamp case together with the bulb. The dislodged bulb may then melt surrounding plastic components and, in the worst case, cause a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, secure the front fog lamp case and socket holder using a spring.

状況
フロントフォグランプのソケットホルダの固定構造が不適切なため、バルブの点灯・消灯により、当該固定部分が膨張・収縮を繰り返し、ソケットホルダがバルブとともにランプケースから脱落することがある。そのため、当該バルブが周辺の樹脂製部品を溶損させ、最悪の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、フロントフォグランプのランプケースとソケットホルダをスプリングで固定する。
