Defect
On some vehicles, the waterproof cover for the intake/exhaust port of the pneumatic brake booster was omitted during assembly, allowing water to enter through the port. Continued use causes rust to develop inside the booster. In the worst case, the piston malfunctions, reducing the booster's amplification capacity and decreasing braking force.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the brake booster intake/exhaust port. If the waterproof cover is missing, install it. Additionally, inspect the interior of the booster; if rust is found, replace the booster with a new unit.

状況
空気式制動倍力装置の吸排気部の防水カバーの装着が忘れたものがあるため、当該吸排気部から水が浸入するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、倍力装置内部に錆が発生し、最悪の場合、ピストンの作動不良により、倍力能力が減少し、制動力が低下するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、倍力装置の吸排気部を点検し、防水カバーが未装着のものは追加する。なお、倍力装置内部を点検し、錆が認められるものは、新品に交換する。
