Defect
On buses, the forward-folding seats adjacent to the emergency exit have one or more of the following defects: the retaining pin holding the seat has insufficient holding force; the anti-tip bracket has insufficient engagement due to assembly variation; or the anti-tip bracket itself has insufficient strength. During hard braking, a passenger falling rearward onto the seat may cause the hinge pin to release or the bracket to deform. In the worst case, the seat may tip over. This notification supplements recall No. 1229 (filed September 22, 2004) and improvement measure No. 292 (filed September 26, 2005) to add vehicles that were omitted from the original scope.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the seats adjacent to the emergency exit. On vehicles without an anti-tip bracket, install the bracket. On vehicles already fitted with the bracket, replace it with the corrected part. On door-linked seat configurations, inspect the bracket mounting area on the emergency door side; if the door shows deformation or corrosion, repair or replace it with a new part.

状況
バスの非常口横の前転倒式座席において、座席を固定するピンの保持力が弱いもの、転倒防止金具が取付けのバラツキにより掛かり代が不足しているもの、転倒防止金具の強度が不足しているものがある。そのため、急ブレーキにより乗客が後方より当該座席に倒れかかるとヒンジの固定が外れ、又は金具が変形し、最悪の場合、座席が転倒するおそれがある。 本案件は、リコール届出番号１２２９（平成１６年９月２２日届出）及び改善対策届出２９２（平成１７年９月２６日届出）にて届出を行ったものですが、対象車の選定漏れがあったため、対象車両を追加して、新たに届出をするものです。
改善措置
全車両、非常口横の座席を点検し、転倒防止金具がない車両は、当該金具を追加する。また、転倒防止金具がある車両は、当該金具を対策品に交換する。なお、ドア連動式については非常扉側の金具取付け部を点検し、ドアが変形、腐食している場合は、補修または新品と交換する。
