Defect

In snow removal vehicles, the electrical wiring (junction cord) from the alternator has insufficient current capacity. When operating snow plow attachments or similar equipment, the resulting current load causes the wiring to melt through. Continued use prevents the battery from charging and, in the worst case, causes the engine to stop and prevents restart.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, inspect the junction cord. If the corrected part is not installed, replace it with the corrected part.

状況

除雪用自動車等において、オルタネータからの電気配線(ジャンクションコード)の容量が不足しているため、スノウプラウ等作業機使用時の電流により、当該配線が溶断するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると充電できなくなり、最悪の場合、原動機が停止し、再始動できなくなるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、ジャンクションコードを点検し、対策品が装着されていない場合、対策品に交換する。
