Defect
The rear propeller shaft has an improperly designed weld joint between the pipe and the spline shaft. At high vehicle speeds, bending resonance of the propeller shaft causes cracks to develop at the weld. Continued use allows the cracks to propagate, and in the worst case, the propeller shaft fractures and separates from the vehicle, rendering it inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the rear propeller shaft with a corrected part.

状況
リヤプロペラシャフトにおいて、パイプとスプライシャフトの溶接部の構造が不適切なため、高速走行時に起こるプロペラシャフトの曲げ共振により溶接部に亀裂が発生するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、亀裂が進行し、最悪の場合、当該プロペラシャフトが折損、脱落して走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、リヤプロペラシャフトを対策品と交換する。
