Defect
Some nuts securing the rear propeller shaft to the rear differential carrier were not tightened to the specified torque. Repeated vehicle starts and stops can cause these nuts to loosen. In the worst case, the propeller shaft coupling can separate, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the tightening condition of the affected nuts and retighten to the specified torque any nut found to be loose.

状況
リヤプロペラシャフトとリヤディファレンシャルキャリアを結合しているナットの締付け が不十分なものがあるため、発進等の繰返しにより当該ナットが緩むことがある。そのた め、最悪の場合、プロペラシャフトの結合部が外れ、走行ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ナットの締付け状態を点検し、緩みのあるものは正規トルクで締付ける。
