Defect
On aerial work platform vehicles, improper installation of the exhaust pipe leaves a gap at the clamp jaw. Continued use may cause the clamp bolt to fracture, allowing the exhaust pipe to shift and direct exhaust gases onto a wooden jack base stored nearby. This can scorch the jack base and, in the worst case, result in a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the exhaust pipe clamp for proper torque. Any clamp with a gap at the jaw must be replaced with a new unit. In addition, install a heat protector on the jack base storage box.

状況
高所作業車において、排気管の取付け作業が不適切なため、クランプの爪部に隙間が生じ ているものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、当該クランプのボルトが折損し て排気管がずれ、近くに格納されている木製ジャッキベースに直接排気ガスが当たり、ジ ャッキベースが焦げ、最悪の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、排気管クランプの締め付け状況を点検し、爪部に隙間があるものはクランプを新 品に交換する。また、ジャッキベース格納箱にヒートプロテクターを取り付ける。
