Defect
On vehicles without a cab-tilt mechanism, the steering shaft and steering gear box were improperly assembled at the coupling joint during production, leaving the joint insufficiently secured. Continued use in this condition may cause the joint to separate. In the worst case, the steering coupling detaches completely, resulting in loss of steering control.
Corrective action
Inspect all vehicles. Any vehicle with an improperly assembled steering coupling joint must be disassembled and correctly reassembled.

状況
キャブチルト(運転台を前方に傾ける)機構のない車両のかじ取装置において、ステアリン グシャフトとステアリングギアボックスの継ぎ手部の組み付け作業が不適切なため、継ぎ 手が確実に固定されていないものがあり、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、最悪の場合 、当該継ぎ手部が外れ、操舵ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両点検し、当該継ぎ手の組み付けが不適切なものは、正しく組み付けなおす。
