Defect
In compressed natural gas vehicles, the connection between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust pipe has insufficient strength. Engine vibration during vehicle launch can cause cracks to develop at the connection. Continued use allows the crack to progress until the exhaust pipe fractures, resulting in increased exhaust noise.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the exhaust pipe with the corrected part.

状況
圧縮天然ガス自動車において、排気マニホールドに結合されている排気管の接続部の強 度が不足しているため、発進時のエンジンの振動により、当該接続部に亀裂が入ることが ある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、排気管が折損し、騒音が増大するお それがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該排気管を対策品に交換する。
