Defect
Insufficient cleaning of the internal metal components of the brake master cylinder allows rust to develop in the rubber seal mounting groove at the rear of the cylinder, causing seal failure. Continued use may result in brake fluid leaking past the seal. Small amounts of air may also enter the brake fluid, extending stopping distance.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the brake master cylinder and replace it with a serviceable unit if brake fluid leakage or air intrusion is found.

状況
ブレーキマスターシリンダの内部金具の洗浄が不適切なため、シリンダ後端のゴム製シ ール取付け溝部に錆が発生し、シール不良となるものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を 続けると、当該シール部より制動液が漏れるおそれがある。また、制動液に微量の空気が 入り込み、制動停止距離が伸びるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ブレーキマスターシリンダを点検し、制動液漏れ、空気入りがある場合は良品と 交換する。
