Defect

The reservoir cup inside the fuel tank was improperly welded during manufacturing, resulting in some units being installed in reverse orientation. When fuel level is low, this causes insufficient fuel delivery during uphill driving or acceleration from a stop, leading to engine rough running. In the worst case, the engine may stall while driving.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, inspect the weld condition of the reservoir cup inside the fuel tank. Any unit with an incorrectly positioned weld will have the complete fuel tank assembly replaced with a conforming unit.

状況

 燃料タンク内部のリザーバーカップの溶接作業が不適切なため、当該カップを前後逆に 溶接したものがある。そのため、燃料残量が少ない時の上り坂走行時や発進加速時等に燃 料供給量が不足しエンジン不調となり、最悪の場合、走行中エンストするおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、燃料タンク内部のリザーバーカップの溶接状態を点検し、溶接位置不良があるも のは、燃料タンク一式を良品と交換する。
