Defect
The passenger-side airbag inflator was subjected to an airtightness inspection using an incorrect acceptance criterion, resulting in units with insufficient airtightness. When the airbag deploys, inadequate internal gas pressure delays airbag deployment. In the worst case, this delay may cause excessive injury to the occupant in a frontal collision.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the passenger-side airbag inflator by serial number. On affected units, replace the complete passenger-side airbag assembly with a conforming part.

状況
助手席エアバッグのインフレータ（膨張装置）において、誤った判定値により気密性検査 を行ったため、気密性が不十分なものがある。そのため、エアバッグが作動した際、イン フレータ内封入ガスの圧力不足により、エアバッグの展開が遅れ、最悪の場合、前面衝突 時に乗員に過度の障害を与えるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、助手席エアバッグのインフレータの製造番号を点検し、対象となるものは、助手 席エアバッグ一式を良品と交換する。
