Defect
The shift lever pipe of the automatic (or continuously variable) transmission was manufactured with a partially undersized inner diameter. When the shift lever is moved to Park and the push button is released, the lock pin rod contacts the undersized portion of the pipe and fails to return, preventing the parking switch from activating. As a result, the key interlock system does not engage, the ignition key cannot be removed, and the steering column lock may not function.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the shift lever lock pin rod with the corrected part.

状況
①自動(又は、無段)変速機の変速レバーパイプの内径寸法を部分的に小さく製造したた め、変速レバーをパーキングに入れプッシュボタンを戻してもロックピンロッドが当該パ イプに干渉して戻らず、パーキングスイッチが作動しないものがある。そのため、変速レ バーをパーキングに入れてもキーインターロック装置が作動しなくなり、イグニッション キーが抜けず、また、かじ取り装置の施錠装置が機能しなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
①全車両、変速レバーのロックピンロッドを対策品と交換する。
