Defect
The flange that attaches the rear of the fuel tank to the body has insufficient strength. Repeated driving over rough or unpaved roads subjects the base of the flange to excessive stress, causing cracks to develop. Continued use may allow the crack to propagate through the flange, resulting in a fuel leak.
Corrective action
Inspect the fuel tank on all vehicles. Where fuel is leaking, replace the fuel tank with the corrected part. Where fuel is not leaking, install an additional reinforcement bracket at the flange.

状況
燃料タンク後方の車体へ組付けするフランジの強度が不足しているため、悪路（凹凸路や 未舗装路）等を繰り返し走行すると、当該フランジの根元部へ過大な応力がかかり亀裂が 生じるものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、フランジ部の亀裂が貫通して燃 料が漏れるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、燃料タンクを点検し、燃料が漏れている場合は、対策品の燃料タンクに交換する 。なお、燃料が漏れていない場合は、フランジ部に補強ブラケットを追加で取付ける。
