Defect
On two-wheel-drive manual transmission vehicles (excluding turbocharged models), the snap ring groove geometry at the vehicle speed sensor rotor mounting location is improperly designed, and some units were improperly assembled. As a result, the snap ring may disengage. In the worst case, the sensor rotor shifts out of position, vehicle speed can no longer be detected, and the speedometer stops functioning.
Corrective action
Replace the manual transmission on all vehicles with a corrected unit incorporating the design improvements. (Because supply of corrected parts requires time, all owners will be notified of the defect as an interim measure, and manual transmissions will be replaced with corrected units on a rolling basis.)

状況
手動変速機付車（除く過給機付車）において ②２輪駆動車の車速検出用センサーロータを固定しているスナップリング装着部の形状、 およびスナップリングの組付けが不適切なものがあり、最悪の場合、スナップリングが 外れることがあり、センサーロータがずれ車速が検出できず、速度計が作動しなくなる おそれがある。
改善措置
①②共、全車両、対策を盛込んだ手動変速機に交換する。 （対策品の供給に時間を要することから、当面の暫定措置として、全ての使用者に不具合 内容を通知し、順次、手動変速機を対策品と交換する。）
