Issue
On liquefied petroleum gas (LPG)-fueled refuse collection vehicles, an error in the ECU fuel injection control program causes fuel injection quantity to temporarily spike when the refuse compressor operates during loading. This increases carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbon (HC) concentrations in the exhaust. When the refuse compressor is operated continuously, workers may inhale excessive quantities of CO and HC.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the ECU with a corrected part.

状況
液化石油ガス(LPG)を燃料にする塵芥車において、燃料ガスの噴射量を制御している 電子制御機能(ECU)の制御プログラムが不適切なため、塵芥積込み作業時等、塵芥圧 縮機の作動時に燃料噴射量が一時的に過大となることがあり、排出ガス中の一酸化炭素( CO)、炭化水素(HC)の量が増加し、塵芥圧縮機を連続して作動させた場合、作業者 がCO、HCを多量に吸入するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ECUを対策品に交換する。
