Defect
The screws securing the accelerator pedal backing plate have insufficient clamping strength, and the cooler cut switch is improperly positioned. When the accelerator pedal is fully depressed during rapid acceleration, the backing plate contacts the cooler cut switch with significant force, causing the backing plate to slip and catch on the floor mat. This interferes with pedal return and, in the worst case, may prevent engine speed from decreasing.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the accelerator pedal and the cooler cut switch bracket with corrected parts.

状況
アクセルペダルの裏板を締結しているビスの締結強度の不足とクーラーカットスイッチの 取付位置が不適切なため、急加速等アクセルペダルを一杯に踏み込んだとき、アクセルペ ダルの裏板とクーラーカットスイッチが強く当たり、アクセルペダルの裏板がずれ落ちて フロアマットに引っかかり、アクセルペダルの戻りを阻害し、最悪の場合、エンジン回転 が下がらなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、アクセルペダルとクーラーカットスイッチブラケットを対策品と交換する。
