Defect

Improper body-to-frame installation has deformed the front brake tube on some vehicles, causing it to press hard against the grommet at the wheel house panel pass-through. Continued use may damage the brake tube, allowing brake fluid to leak and reducing braking force.

Corrective action

Inspect all vehicles. Where the brake tube surface is scratched, replace it with a conforming unit. Where the tube does not pass through the center of the opening, bend the tube to correct its routing so that it no longer contacts the grommet.

状況

車枠へ車体を取付ける作業が不適切なため、フロントブレーキチューブを変形させてホイ ールハウスパネル貫通穴部のグロメットに強く干渉するものがある。そのままの状態で使 用を続けると当該ブレーキチューブが損傷し、最悪の場合、ブレーキ液が漏れ、制動力が 低下するおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両点検し、ブレーキチューブ表面に傷のあるものは良品に交換する。また、貫通穴中 央部を通っていないものは、当該ブレーキチューブを曲げて修正し、干渉しないようにす る。
