Defect

In the brake system, the routing of the left front wheel brake pipe is incorrect on some vehicles, causing it to contact the upper arm of the independent suspension. Continued use damages the brake pipe. In the worst case, brake fluid may leak, reducing braking force.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, inspect the condition of the brake pipe. On vehicles where contact has not yet occurred, reposition the brake pipe to maintain proper clearance from the upper arm, and add mounting brackets, securing brackets, and clips. On vehicles where contact has already occurred, repair the affected area, reposition the pipe to the correct routing, and add mounting brackets, securing brackets, and clips.

状況

制動装置において、左前輪用ブレーキパイプの取り廻しに不適切なものがあるため、独立 懸架装置のアッパーアームと干渉するものがあり、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当 該ブレーキパイプが損傷し、最悪の場合、ブレーキ液が漏れ、制動力が低下するおそれが ある。

改善措置

全車両、ブレーキパイプの状態を点検し、干渉のないものはブレーキパイプを適切な状態 (アッパーアームとの隙間確保)にし、取付け金具、固定金具及びクリップを追加する。 また、干渉しているものは干渉部を補修の上、適切な状態にし、取付け金具、固定金具及 びクリップを追加する。
