Defect
The clearance specification between the left front brake pipe and the plastic clip used to secure the power steering hose is inadequate. Assembly variation may result in insufficient clearance, allowing the brake pipe and the plastic clip to contact each other during driving vibration. Continued use may damage the brake pipe, causing brake fluid to leak and reducing braking force. In the worst case, stopping distance is extended.
Corrective action
Vehicles equipped with air conditioning: Inspect the left front brake pipe on all vehicles. If undamaged, remove the plastic clip and secure the steering hose to the air conditioning hose using a plastic band to establish adequate clearance. If the brake pipe is damaged, replace it with the corrected part. Where corrected parts are temporarily unavailable, repair the brake pipe, remove the plastic clip, secure the steering hose to the air conditioning hose with a plastic band, and replace with the corrected part at a later date. Vehicles without air conditioning: On all vehicles, replace the brake pipe with the corrected part.

状況
左前輪用ブレーキパイプとパワーステアリングホース固定用樹脂クリップとの隙間設定が 不適切なため、組付け時のばらつきにより隙間が小さい場合、走行中の振動等でブレーキ パイプと当該樹脂クリップが干渉することがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続 けると、最悪の場合、ブレーキパイプが損傷し、ブレーキ液が漏れ、制動力が低下するお それがある。
改善措置
・エアコン装着車の場合 全車両、左前輪用ブレーキパイプを点検し、損傷のないものは樹脂クリップを取外し、 パワーステアリングホースをエアコンホースに樹脂バンドで固定して隙間を確保する。 損傷しているものは、ブレーキパイプを対策品と交換する。なお、対策品の供給が不足 する場合は、当面の暫定措置として、ブレーキパイプを補修の上、樹脂クリップを取外 し、パワーステアリングホースをエアコンホースに樹脂バンドで固定して隙間を確保し 、後日対策品と交換する。 ・エアコン非装着車の場合 全車両、ブレーキパイプを対策品と交換する。
