Defect
On certain vehicles, the hub nut that secures the hub bearing inside the front axle assembly was assembled without a washer, the washer retention screw, or both. As a result, the hub bearing may loosen and the vehicle may become inoperable.
Corrective action
Inspect all vehicles. On any vehicle missing the washer or its retention screw, install both on the hub nut. Replace the hub bearing, axle, and any other damaged components with new parts.
