Issue
On the backup camera, the electrical wiring is improperly secured. Closing the rear gate or vibration during driving causes the wiring to move, and the connection terminals between the backup camera and the electrical wiring undergo repeated sliding contact. Continued use in this condition wears away and detaches the surface coating on the terminals, causing corrosion that increases electrical resistance. In the worst case, the backup camera image may become distorted, making it difficult to see the area behind the vehicle.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the backup camera is inspected. If image distortion is found, the complete backup camera assembly is replaced with a new unit and the electrical wiring is secured with sealant. If no image distortion is found, the electrical wiring is secured with sealant. Note: Because time is required to prepare the sealant and replacement backup camera assemblies, repairs will begin once supplies are available.

状況
バックカメラにおいて、電気配線の固定が不適切なため、リアゲートを閉めた時や走行中の車体振動などで振れ、バックカメラと電気配線間の接続端子が摺動することがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、接続端子の表面被膜が摩耗して剥がれ、腐食することで電気抵抗が増加し、最悪の場合、バックカメラの映像が乱れ、車両後方が確認しにくくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、バックカメラを点検し、映像に乱れが認められた場合はバックカメラ一式を新品と交換し、電気配線をシール材で固定する。映像に乱れが認められない場合は電気配線をシール材で固定する。なお、シール材及びバックカメラ一式の準備に時間を要することから、準備ができた段階で開始する。
