Filing in context
This notification is a joint filing by 2 manufacturers: Lexus & Toyota.
This filing is one of 8 Lexus notifications from 2022 in this archive. For scale, 994 of the 4,890 filings in this archive report a larger number of affected vehicles; the vehicles involved here were manufactured over a span of about 7 months.
Issue
In the display audio unit, an improperly developed control program may fail to correctly process screen-switching commands when a shift operation is performed or a vehicle speed signal is received. As a result, video content such as television footage may continue to display unintentionally after the vehicle begins moving.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the display audio unit control program to the corrected specification.
