Issue
The water-sealing structure at the sliding end of the automatic transmission control shaft is inadequate, allowing rust to develop during service use. Continued use may cause the shaft to malfunction. In the worst case, the engine may fail to start even when the selector is moved to the Park position. Additionally, if the parking brake is not applied on a slope, the vehicle may roll.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, clean the sliding end of the control shaft and add a waterproof cover to that sliding surface.

状況
自動変速機のコントロールシャフト端部摺動部の防水構造が不適切なため、使用過程で錆が発生するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、当該シャフトが作動不良となり、最悪の場合、パーキング位置に操作してもエンジンが始動できないことがある。また、坂路駐車等で駐車ブレーキをかけ忘れた際に、車両が動くおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、コントロールシャフト端部摺動部を清掃し、当該摺動部に防水カバーを追加する。
