Issue
On light-duty trucks, the PTO (power take-off) control program in the engine control unit is defective. If the throttle knob used for engine warm-up is turned to raise engine speed to 1,000 rpm or above, the PTO switch is then engaged, and the body-mounted equipment is operated, engine speed may rise beyond the set limit, causing the equipment to operate faster than intended. Continued use in this condition may damage the body-mounted equipment and create unsafe working conditions.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the engine control unit with a corrected PTO control program.

状況
小型トラックにおいて、エンジンコンピュータのＰＴＯ（架装用動力取出し装置）用制御プログラムが不適切なため、エンジン暖気用に設けられているスロットルノブを回しエンジン回転を１０００回転以上に上げた状態でＰＴＯスイッチを入れ、かつ架装した装置を操作すると、設定以上にエンジン回転が高くなり、架装した装置の動きが速くなることがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、架装した装置の損傷や作業時の安全性を欠くおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エンジンコンピュータのＰＴＯ用制御プログラムを書き換える。
