Issue
On medium-duty trucks compliant with 2010 exhaust emission regulations, a defect in the engine control program may cause nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions to exceed allowable levels depending on driving conditions.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the engine assembly and intercooler (intake air cooling unit) with corrected parts, and reprogram the engine control unit. On certain vehicles, also replace the transmission control unit or the final reduction gear.

状況
平成22年排出ガス規制対応の中型トラックにおいて、エンジン制御プログラムの影響により、運転操作によっては、窒素酸化物(NOx)の排出値が悪化するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エンジン本体及びインタークーラ(吸入空気冷却装置)を対策品に交換するとともに、エンジン制御ユニットの制御プログラムを書き換える。また、一部車両においては、トランスミッション制御ユニット又は終減速ギヤを変更する。
