Issue
The lower switch housing that retains the throttle grip is incorrectly shaped. When assembled with the upper switch housing, the retaining groove width becomes too narrow. If a heated throttle grip is installed and inward force is applied to the grip during deceleration, internal contact occurs, causing the throttle to return sluggishly near the fully closed position.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the handlebar switch assembly with a revised unit incorporating the corrected lower switch housing. As an interim measure pending parts availability, reassemble the upper and lower switch housings to eliminate internal contact, and apply lubricant to the cable winding section of the throttle grip. Units will be replaced with the corrected assembly once parts are available.

状況
アクセルグリップを保持する下側スイッチハウジングの形状が不適切なため、上側スイッチハウジングに組付けるとアクセルグリップを保持する溝幅が狭くなるものがある。そのため、ヒーター付きアクセルグリップを装着した場合、減速時にアクセルグリップを押さえる力が加わると内部で接触することで、アクセル全閉付近の戻りが悪くなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、対策品の下側スイッチハウジングを組込んだハンドルスイッチASSYと交換する。 なお、対策品の供給に時間を要することから、暫定措置として、上側及び下側スイッチハウジングを接触が起きないように組み直すとともに、アクセルグリップのケーブル巻取り部に潤滑剤を塗布し、部品の準備ができ次第対策品と交換する。
