Defect
On vehicles fitted with the dealer-option cold-climate front wheel brake cable, the inner wire is cast into the cable end at an incorrect position. Repeated operation of the parking lever—such as when parking or stopping on a slope—causes the cable end to fracture. In the worst case, the front wheel brake may become inoperative.
Corrective action
Inspect the front wheel brake cable on all vehicles. If the dealer-option cold-climate front wheel brake cable is installed, replace it with a conforming part.

状況
販売店オプション部品として設定し販売した寒冷地用前輪ブレーキケーブルを装着した車両において、ケーブルエンドへのインナワイヤ鋳込み位置が不適切なため、坂道などの駐停車時に使用するパーキングレバーの操作を繰返し行うと、ケーブルエンドが破損し、前輪ブレーキが利かなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、前輪用ブレーキケーブルを点検し、販売店オプション部品の寒冷地用前輪ブレーキケーブルが装着されている場合は、良品と交換する。
