Defect

On large double-cab trucks, the power steering pipe routing is improperly designed. When the steering wheel is turned to full lock and the vehicle passes over a step or uneven surface, the tire may contact the steering pipe. Continued operation in this condition can damage the contact area and, in the worst case, cause an oil leak and result in excessively high steering effort.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, the power steering pipe is replaced with a corrected part.

状況

大型ダブルキャブ車において、パワーステアリング配管の形状が不適切なため、ステアリングを最大限度まで切った状態で段差等を通過した場合、タイヤが当該配管と接触するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、接触部分が損傷し、最悪の場合、オイルが漏れ、ステアリングの操舵力が過大になるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、パワーステアリング配管を対策品に交換する。
